Roads are slick this morning! Please drive safely if you have to get out. City Hall will be open today. City crews are out working on clearing designated snow routes. Please give them plenty of space to work and don't crowd the plows. Street clearing may take a little longer as we have some newer inexperienced staff that will be learning on the fly. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Stay weather aware today! Roads may become slick this afternoon and overnight. And if you have outdoor pets please make sure they have shelter from the elements!

Update on 2024 Utility Bill Angel Tree

Closed 01/01/2025

CIty Hall and the Landfill will close at 12 noon on Tuesday, December 24th and will be closed Wednesday, December 25th and Thursday, December 26th for the Christmas Holiday. The entire city staff would like to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas!!
For emergencies, please call 806.659.4140.

City Hall and the Landfill will be closed for our employee Christmas Party.

Update: The waterline is complete.. But we are still working on a sewer repair in the same location.
There will be water interruption today in the 1100 block of Haney/Bernice, between the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., that will affect the odd side of Haney and the even side of Bernice. There is a large water leak in the alley and we expect it to take most of the afternoon to repair.

The water will be off in the 1100 block of Haney/Bernice to fix a water leak. Estimated time will be about 1 hour.

The Utility Angel Tree still has Angels waiting to be selected!
People have ask how we chose who went on the tree. The families/individuals are people in the community that we know of or have been told are on a fixed income, widowed, single moms and dads, and those who may be experiencing tough times due to illnesses or unexpected life changes. Even a small amount is a big help to these members of our community.

***UPDATE*** Repairs are completed & service has been restored..
Water customers in the 1100 block of Linn & Walter Wilmeth will be without water while our crew works as quickly as possible to repair a water leak. We estimate the repairs to be completed by mid-afternoon..

The City of Spearman Angel Tree is up! Stop by and be a blessing to a family in need.

NOTICE

The landfill will be closed again today, Wednesday, 11/20, as it is still too wet to access. Hopefully we will dry out today and be able to open today.
Alleys are still also very muddy, and our sanitation drivers are doing their best to get to as much as they can. If your dumpster hasn't been picked up, we still have temporary dumpsters located at the Swimming Pool Park parking lot and in the mall/Lowe's parking lot. We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience.

Contact the Chamber of Commerce for tickets and information.

The City of Spearman will be closed Monday, November 11, in observance of Veteran's Day. Thank you to all of those who have served to protect our freedom.
