The much-anticipated Hwy 207 project is set to begin on March 30th. Work will start at the stoplight and move south out of town.
This project includes important drainage improvements, especially at the intersections of 7th Street and Hwy 207. These upgrades will help ensure that future repairs at these intersections last longer and hold up better over time.
We appreciate your patience during construction and look forward to the long-term benefits this project will bring! Please see the press release by TXDOT for more information.

If you have any issues or suspect someone is going door-to-door without a permit, please call 806-659-4110 and an officer will be dispatched to assist you.

Beginning Monday, February 23, the City of Spearman will install new four-way stop signs at:
📍 Cotter Drive & 11th Avenue
📍 South Brandt Street, Cotter Street & 7th Avenue
These changes are being made to improve safety for drivers, pedestrians, and nearby residents. The additional stop signs are intended to help curb excessive speeding and reduce the risk of accidents at these intersections.
🛑 30-DAY GRACE PERIOD:
For the first 30 days after installation, law enforcement will focus on education and warnings rather than issuing citations, giving drivers time to adjust to the new traffic pattern.
⚠️ Please slow down, stay alert, and watch for the new signage.

If you park in the alley or need to access your driveway or garage from the alley, please be aware you will be unable to for the duration of the project. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while this necessary work is completed.
The crew will contact each customer directly before their gas is shut off, as someone will need to be home to allow service to be safely turned back on. We only anticipate each residence being off for a few minutes.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work to improve our community’s infrastructure.
