The wind shift causing the front doors of City Hall to blow open and slam. To prevent damage, the front door of City Hall will be locked temporarily. We encourage everyone to use the drive thru or please enter through the south door by the police department. We will be doing our best to monitor the front door during this time and open it as needed until the wind settles down. You can also give us a call at 806-659-2524 if you need assistance.

We are aware of the widespread damage across town. We have spoken with our local utility providers. If you have trees down on any electrical lines or other overhead phone/internet lines, please avoid them and call the respective utility company to report the damage. Stay safe and DO NOT try to clear the lines on your own! All of our utility providers are aware of and assessing the damage and will be working nonstop to restore services.

Council Meeting - March 18, 2025


The City landfill will be closed on Friday, 3/14, due to the extreme winds being forecast. We will resume regular hours on Saturday, 3/15, from 8am-5pm.

Due to the high winds, we are temporarily locking the front (north) door to City Hall to prevent damage to the doors. We are still open for business, but please use the drive-thru window or enter through the south door by the police department. You can also give us a call at 806-659-2524 for assistance.

With the extreme wind conditions expected over the next 24-36 hours, the landfill will be closed Tuesday, March 4. The high winds may also delay our trash collection this week. We apologize for any inconvenience, but please know our trucks will be by to pick up your dumpsters as soon as possible.

Due to the high winds today, the City of Spearman Landfill will be closed the remainder of today, Friday, 2/14. We will reopen tomorrow morning for our regular Saturday hours 8am-5pm. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Good morning Spearman. The city's storm sirens will sound intermittently from around 11:00-12:00 today to test that the new storm siren on the west side of town is working properly as installation is completed. This is only a test and there is no concern for severe weather today. Once the new siren is online, we will post more details about the updates to our outdoor storm warning system.
