The City of Spearman and the Spearman Beautification Board are sponsoring a community cleanup week! Let's get out and help spruce Spearman up before winter!
We will have IN-TOWN dumping locations, FREE dumping at the landfill and curbside pickup!

With this year's changes to the SISD schedule, we have made adjustments to the speed limit ordinance in the school zones to help keep our kiddos safe! Please take note of the extended hours for the school zone reduced speed limit. New traffic signs to reflect these changes have arrived and City crews are working to get them installed.

Llegó antes de lo previsto y trabajará durante las próximas horas y posiblemente mañana por la mañana. Es posible que active brevemente las sirenas en las que está trabajando para probarlas una vez finalizado el mantenimiento. Si escucha breves ráfagas de sonido en alguna de las sirenas, no se alarme y no llame al servicio de emergencia, ya que son solo pruebas. City Hall will be open on Thursday, August 28, but due to scheduled server and software updates, we will be unable to process any payments of any kind or access any utility customer accounts. We will still be able to answer calls and make service calls as needed.

**LANDFILL CLOSURE**
There will be water disruptions beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 26th. The areas effected will be South Brandt Street from 1st Street to 5th Street and South Hoskins from 1st to 3rd Street. We do not anticipate the shut off to be longer than a few hours. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for understanding.

Sealed bids are due TODAY by 4:00pm for the abatement of overgrown vegetation at certain properties. Bid packets that contain the list of properties and bidding requirements are available to pick up at City Hall or send an email request to citymanager@spearmantx.gov.

Coffee Memorial Blood Center reached out a bit ago asking for our help in reminding the community about today's blood drive at the O'Loughlin Center. Blood supplies are critically low, and they are asking for 9 more donors to meet today's goals! If you are eligible and able to donate, please consider donating today!
The drive is from 2:30 - 6 p.m today at the O'Loughlin Center Gym. Appointments are still available and walk-ins are wecome! You can the QR code on the flyer below or click the link to schedule!
