Winter Weather & Freezing Temps Reminder
If you experience any issues with city services (gas & water) over the weekend due to freezing temperatures or winter weather, please call the Hansford County Sheriff’s Office at 806-659-4140. They will dispatch the on-call utility maintenance personnel, and we will get to you as quickly as possible.
To help prevent frozen or busted pipes:
💧 Keep water dripping
🚪 Leave cabinet doors under sinks open to allow warm air to circulate around pipes
⚠️ Please do not turn your utilities off yourself. We are here to help and are fully prepared to respond in the event of an emergency.
Stay safe, stay warm, and don’t hesitate to call if you need assistance!

Due to a water leak, water service will be interrupted in the area of South Brandt to South Hazelwood from 4th St to Kenneth St. We are unsure at this time how long services will be affected but our guys are working quickly to get water restored. We apologize for the inconvenience.
City Council Meeting Agenda - December 16,2025
The Utility Bill Angel Tree is up at City Hall. Stop by between now and December 30th and bless a family in need. The process is simple, select a number off the tree, present it to the ladies in the Utility Department. You can either pay the entire bill or a portion of the bill. You will not know the family you are helping and they will not know who helped them. The tree consists of people we know who may be facing a hardship this holiday season. If you know of someone who could benefit please call City Hall at 806-659-2524 and speak to the Utility's Department to get them added to the list.
