Family Night's are back at the Spearman Municipal Pool!
Family Night is designed for families who may not be able to visit the pool during the day. We invite you to come spend an evening together, enjoying the pool and making fun memories with your loved ones!
We will be strictly following our Family Night policy this year. While we've been a little more relaxed in previous years, moving forward:
*** All minors (under the age of 18) must be accompanied by an adult family member who is 18 years of age or older.
*** Children who are dropped off without an adult family member present will not be permitted into pool.
Our goal is to provide a safe, enjoyable environment for everyone attending Family Night. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation and look forward to seeing your family at the pool!

The repair is expected to be completed no later than lunchtime. At this time, no water service interruptions are anticipated.
We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience while our crews complete this work.

We need to address the ongoing issue of improper trash disposal at city dumpsters.
** Plastic materials such as tubing and similar items CANNOT be placed in the dumpsters ; it must be separated properly at the landfill.
**Oversized items can and WILL damage our trash trucks. If an item is too large to fit properly inside the dumpster with the lid closed, DO NOT place it in, on top of, or beside the dumpster.
It is against City Ordinance to leave dumpster lids open.
Article 13.06.033 states:
“The receptacle must be left in place in an upright position, and the lid must be kept closed at all times except when refuse is actually being placed in or taken from the receptacle.”
(1986 Code, Sec. 9-4)
If you cannot properly dispose of your trash inside the dumpster, you must take it to the landfill. This is for everyones health and safety.
This weekend alone, multiple dumpsters across the city were left overflowing or surrounded by trash and oversized items. While we understand it was a long holiday weekend, there are approximately 250 dumpsters located throughout the city for public use.
Please be mindful and respectful of your property, your neighbors, and city employees by disposing of trash properly.
**City employees WILL NOT pick up trash left beside dumpsters.
Additionally, this weekend a person or persons unlawfully disposed of a deceased dog in a dumpster in the 1100 block of Haney/Barkley.
Article 13.06.037 states:
“It shall hereafter be unlawful for any person to place in any receptacle used for storage of refuse any dead animal, shotgun shells, rifle, pistol or revolver cartridges, or any other explosive.”
Improper dumping has become a serious issue in our community. Violators will soon be prosecuted.
Please remember: cameras are everywhere nowadays.
Do the right thing. Dispose of trash properly.
