Dear Spearman Community,
I, along with the other City staff and City Council, are absolutely overwhelmed by the incredible turnout of those who felt led to bless others this year by supporting our annual Utility Bill Angel Tree. This year was an overwhelming success, with a total of 62 angels being pulled from the tree resulting in a total of $8,517.32 in utility bills paid on behalf of residents in need this holiday season. That was every single angel on the tree. To call it astonishing and incredible would be an understatement.
Our Angel Tree’s inaugural year in 2023 resulted in 45 utility bills paid for a total of $4,857.06. Between 2023 and 2024, your generosity has in total helped pay 107 households with a total of $13,374.41 in City utility bills.
The success of this event is a testament to the loving and generous community we are blessed to call home. I would put Spearman up as the best and most generous community against any other in the region, maybe even the entire state. It is something we can and should all take pride in.
On behalf of the City of Spearman Council, staff and those blessed by all your generosity, I extend my deepest and sincerest gratitude to all of you who support our Angel Tree.
