Municipal elections are held every year in May. In even-numbered years, voters elect the Mayor and two Aldermen. In odd-numbered years, three Aldermen are elected. Each elected position carries a two-year term of office.

Candidate packets for the offices of Mayor and Alderman may be picked up from the City Secretary's Office at Spearman City Hall, 30 SW Court. Packets will be available Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., beginning January 2, 2026. All completed candidate packets must be filed with the City Secretary no later than 5:00 p.m. on February 13, 2026.
